When you turn on the gas hob, do you smell gas?
No: Turn off the hob and contact us.
Yes: Turn off the hob and proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Boiler Check
Is your boiler on?
No: Your boiler requires an electrical supply. Follow the electricity troubleshooting steps. Try these additional steps:
Press the reset button.
Turn up your thermostat higher than the current room temperature.
Replace the batteries if you have a remote thermostat.
Check for any fault codes and note them down or take a picture, as we will need this information.

Yes: If your boiler is on without any fault codes but you are experiencing heating issues, your system might need pressurizing. Follow the steps for your boiler's manufacturer.

Yes: Turn off the water at the stopcock by turning it clockwise. The stopcock is usually located under the kitchen sink or in a downstairs cloakroom. If you cannot turn it off, place a bowl or bucket under the leak to minimize damage. Identify the leak's source (e.g., boiler, radiator, ceiling) and contact us immediately.

Yes: Ensure the water is on at the stopcock by turning it anti-clockwise. Check with Severn Trent Water (STW) for any outages or known problems in the area. Also, check with neighbors to see if they are experiencing the same issue. If you are unable to resolve the problem, please contact us for further assistance.
